Skiers trigger avalanche
Tourists in northwest China who ventured off designated ski paths ended up triggering a small avalanche that buried four fellow snow enthusiasts. Four skiers were buried; two lying on top of the snow being relatively safe, and the other two, whom onlookers worked together to extricate. All those involved emerged from the avalanche without life-threatening conditions and recovered well.
