2 - Adele fan bags VIP seats at concert by letting her borrow an £8 Pride flag
Dean Barber, 32, managed to get tickets to see Adele in concert back in 2022, and took along a Pride flag with him. To his surprise, Adele asked to borrow the flag to use on stage. In return for the flag, Adele invited Dean and his pal to go and enjoy the concert from the VIP section - the best view in the house!

US singer and songwriter Lizzo brought drag queens onstage at her Knoxville concert in response to the state’s legislation around drag performances. Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee signed Tennessee House Bill 0009 in March to make public drag performances a crime.

4 - Trans man inspires people to overcome their fears by posting videos of himself in uncomfortable situations
Ezra Butler, 21, started this online series in June 2022 to try and overcome an eating disorder. After numerous requests for other videos, Ezra has now posted more than 190 clips - and gained over a million followers - including travelling on the tube and shopping as a trans person. Ezra believes that conquering other people’s social anxieties helped him finally face his own.

5 - Qatar police seize Brazilian flag that resembles LGBT rainbow symbol
These furious guards mistook the flag of Pernambuco state in Brazil for the Pride rainbow. Homosexuality is illegal in Qatar - with anyone found guilty facing anything from three years in prison, to the death penalty.

6 - Selena Gomez shows support as fan comes out as gay
At one of Selena Gomez’s album listening parties in London back in 2019, a brave fan made a heartfelt confession to the popstar. In this viral clip, the fan can be seen telling Gomez that he is gay, and that it was the first time he’d ever said it out loud.
