New Update: Mobile App
We’ve released a new update for the Newsflare mobile app! Read below to find out what’s new.
Video Briefs:
You can now upload direct to our active video briefs. These are located on the home page.
If you’re unsure on what a video brief is, you can read our quick guide here.
To browse the rest of our breifs, simply click on view all briefs at the bottom of the home page on the app. This will take you the following screen.
From here you’ll be able to browse all of our active briefs. These briefs contain hot topics our clients are looking for. Once you select a video brief it will take you to the following screen.
This page displays some information on the types of clips you should upload and how many submissions we’ve had. Uploading directly to this brief will automatically generate a tag and add your video into this particular brief for buyers to view.
Upload Flow:
Our dev team have made some significant improvements to the upload flow, creating a more user-friendly experience for entering the details of your video.
Copyright Protection:
Filmers who upload directly via the app can now enable copyright protection on the clips that are uploaded. This option is located at the bottom of your screen on the video details page.
Copyright protection comes in many forms, but to summarise:
Allows Newsflare to track stolen copies.
Block unauthorised copies.
Claim revenue if the stolen copy is generating any money which is passed back to you.
File copyright takedowns on repeat offenders which requires them to purchase a license fee to retract the takedown.
Alongside all these amazing new features, we’ve made a lot of under the hood improvements ensuring that you the filmer, enjoy a smooth experience.
If you’re not seeing any of these new features on your current version, it means you haven’t updated! Please visit the App Store (iOS) or PlayStore (Android) to make sure you’re on the latest version.
