New Feature: Upload Photos

Enrich your stories and boost your sales with photos.

Newsflare has just launched a new feature that allows you, the filmer, to add relevant photos to your videos.

How does it work?

  • After uploading your video, you'll be shown a new page where you can quickly attach any additional stills to which you own the rights

  • Once attached, you can add a caption and a date

  • You can also add photos to any of your Newsflare videos at a later date by heading to the "My videos" section: https://www.newsflare.com/account/videos

What sort of photos should I upload?

Our buyers want anything that adds detail or context to the video you've uploaded.

For example:

  • Photos of the people or animals featured in the video (these could be older snaps of a family member or a pet)

  • Photos showing something relevant you weren't able to capture at the time on video

  • Photos of you, the filmer. (Seeing what you look like helps to engage audiences!)

  • Please do not upload screenshots/frames from your videos

Why should I add photos?

  • Our data shows that videos with photos attached are more likely to sell

  • The photos will also be made available separately to dedicated picture desks. Any sales will be charged at standard industry rates and split with you in the normal way.

Why is this feature in Beta?

It's still early days and we may continue to make changes to give everyone the best experience
