1 - Guy takes his pet catfish for a walk after a flood hits Corpus Christi in Texas

Issac, the car-loving catfish owner, has had his catfish, named ‘The Catfish Camaro’, for six months, and usually keeps his fish in a pond in his backyard. After some heavy rainfall back in 2021 in Texas, Issac decided to take his catfish on an adventure, and after managing to attach a leash to the fish, took him for a walk along his street.

2 - Florida couple uses their pet alligator to reveal baby’s gender at gender reveal party

What would you do to make your gender reveal party unique? This Florida couple the answer - use a pet alligator!⁠ Stacie Childs-Wright, and her husband Chad Wright, had their 59-year-old pet Alligator, Amos, pop a balloon to reveal the sex of their 10th child.⁠ Chad, who works for the Florida Wildlife Commission, has had the elderly gator for 14 years. Amos is clearly a huge part of this family, with Stacie wanting to pose with the gator and her newborn when it arrives.⁠

3 - Nurse battling anxiety and depression found help in her pet skunk

Paula Bavill, a 46-year-old nurse from Wakefield, UK, who has been battling with anxiety and depression for a number of years, has told how her symptoms were helped significantly by her pet skunk, Pongo. With help from Pongo, Paula is now conquering her mental health issues, and will often be seen walking around with Pongo in a pouch on her chest.

4 - Sophisticated otter eats its meal at the dinner table

Anko is a domestic Asian short-clawed otter from Naka Ward, Nagoya, Aichi, Japan. The well-behaved otter is treated to its meal at a seat at the dining table.

5 - Man faces neighbourhood backlash for walking giant lizard in his local park

Gary Smith, 54, is the proud owner of black-throated monitor lizard called Thor. After walking Thor off the lead in his local park, Gary started receiving complaints from other locals who were worried that the huge three-stone, 5-foot-long lizard might harm a child or dog. After Gary and Thor were banned from the park completely, the Town Hall chiefs ended up lifting the ban with the condition that Thor was walking on a lead.
