A Beginner’s Guide to Newsflare

So you’re thinking of joining Newsflare. Great!

But, if you’re a little unsure of how it all works, keep reading. We’ve set it all out here, so no matter your question, we’ll have the answer.

First up, what’s Newsflare?

Newsflare is a marketplace for videos. That means, we connect everyday filmers to buyers, by putting your videos in front of the people who are looking for them.

We help you make money from your viral videos, heartwarming stories or funny fails – making sure you get the most out of your content by licensing them out to brands, media agencies and production companies.

But how does it work?

Simple:

  1. You upload your videos and give us information about the what, where and when.

  2. We share these videos with our wide range of buyers.

  3. When your video is bought, you get paid.

  4. Repeat.

How do I start?

To get started, all you need is a video.

Upload the video to Newsflare (you can get started here), create an account, add your PayPal email address (to make sure you get paid) and sit back as our in-house team pitch and push the video out to the most suitable buyers.

If I upload my video, do I still own it?

Yes, absolutely.

You can read our full explanation around Copyright and Licensing here, but at the end of the day:

Did you shoot it? Then you own it. It’s as simple as that.

How do I get paid at Newsflare?

We pay our filmers with PayPal – so you can feel safe knowing your personal information will always be secure.
